Chasing the Silk Road

This trailer is a brief introduction to the film, which documents oral stories of Turkestan immigrants whose families left Uzbekistan in the 1930s and who eventually arrived to the United States in the 1960s. It captures the weight of leaving a Soviet invaded home, imprints of the nations they passed through and lived in, ghosts of unmarked graves and relatives left behind, but mostly stories of new beginnings and the future of the seeds they planted, which have already begun to bloom.
